I am trying to unravel the logistics of adding a calendar of upcoming events for our website. As they say, everything is easy when you know how, but, until I know how, here is a written version of events that I am aware of.
Please feel free to let me know of additional dates, changes in dates etc.

We received this request for healing quilts yesterday via our website.
It from Jackie Goldfarb
My name is Jackie Goldfarb and I am a Peace Island Medical Center Volunteer. Recently I agreed to help with Cancer Care. You may be aware of us through Kathy Chadwick our past committee chairperson. I am writing today to first thank you for your thoughtful generosity in making quilts and donating them to cancer patients at Peace Health. They are received with such joy and gratitude by all who need them. It provides great comfort when they are going through treatment!! You truly have been their angels! I received an email today from the Cancer department saying they would love to have more quilts as they are getting very low. I am wondering if any of you have the time or opportunity to provide more quilts? If yes, then my heartfelt thank you in advance. If no, thank you for your consideration and if you could give me a suggestion as to who else I might contact it is greatly appreciated. I have a Board meeting Wednesday and I will let them know I contacted you. All the best and again thank you for your support. Jackie Goldfarb…”

Hi there, We are having a sewcial this Saturday and it’s going to be really special!! Come see what we have for the Auffle Raffle!! We have been gifted with the entire stash from a lady’s family since she is now not able to sew any longer. There’s lots of wonderful stuff to consider. There are quilt tops, notions, blocks, books and other supplies!! Please bring your fistful of dollars and get some fabulous stuff to take home.
We will have a salad bar lunch!! The guild will supply the greens, the dressing, the half and half and coffee. Please bring a contribution to the salad bar. There will also be goodies, I’m sure!
It was a busy Sewcial. I don’t think that I have ever seen as much delectable food as I did on this day!
Thanks to Krispi Staude we have some fun photos of the day
Eby’s entire stash of 30’s reproduction fabric was accidentally thrown out. We collected a new stash for her along with some cash so that she would be able to fill in with what she really wanted.
Janet Wright made this special quilt during a week long workshop with Patricia Belyea.
Nancy Best creates this beautiful quilt using a panel that she bought at Quilting Foxes.
We had an unusually bountiful Auffle Raffle …here Marge is deciding what she wants to bid on!
Below…next two photos,
Barb was very busy in the desert this year! Her guild there is incredibly active. There are just TWO of the many quilts, bags, and boxes that made no showed to us. She is one of the most prolific “doers” that I have ever known!
